Dangerous Ideas

I ran into this post on CE Buzz - Think (and train) the unthinkable. It also directs us to Vive l'Evolution! at the WebJunction blog. Both cover The Dangerous Ideas session presented at PLA. There's a wiki to continue the discussion - whatiflibs.wetpaint.com.

Did any of you attend this session and care to share?

I love the idea of Dangerous Ideas and plan to add comments to the whatiflibs wiki. Introducing this thinking into our Transforming Texas Libraries could be powerful. I teach Change Management and Civic Entrepreneurship for the UIUC grad lib school so I'm always pushing my students into "uncomfortable thought territory". (Can we start a new lexicon here? When uncomfortable ideas come up, we just say, "oops, I'm in UTT!" or "wow, that's a UTT we should explore!")

I've also posted information about this session and the wiki to two of the blogs I write for:

Texas Forums Blog (a project I run for the LBJ Presidential Library):
and my own professional blog, Austin-Pacific.com
